Manchester United target former Premier League striker Odion Ighalo & 2019 Africa Cup of Nation winner Islam Slimani on a six months loan, according to a report in England.

The 30-year-old Shanghai Shenhua goal poacher scored 17 goals in 55 Premier League appearances for the Hornets before securing a move to the Chinese League club Changchun Yatai in 2017, while Algeria frontman found back of the net 13 times in 47 appearances for Leicester City is currently on loan in Ligue 1 with Monaco.

According to Sky Sports claim that Manchester United are considering loan offers for the two African strikers, as Ole Gunnar Solskjaer looks for a short-term replacement for the injured Marcus Rashford which left Red Devils with just two fit forwards of Anthony Martial and Mason Greenwood.

Rashford has scored 14 from 22 league games and in their desperation to replace his goals the club have also been linked with former loanee Carlos Tevez, who left the club for Manchester City.

Despite their bad run this season they remain just six points behind fourth-place Chelsea after successive defeats.
