Pakistani Army on Friday raised a white flag at the Line of Control (LoC) to retrieve bodies of two of its soldiers killed by the Indian Army in retaliation to unprovoked ceasefire violation on September 11.

After two failed attempts, Pakistani soldiers on Friday raised the white flag to retrieve bodies of the two soldiers killed in cross-border firing. A video of the incident has been shared by news agency ANI.

As per sources in the Army, soldier Sepoy Ghulam Rasool of the Pakistan Army from Bahawalnagar in Pakistan’s Punjab was killed in retaliatory firing by India on the intervening night of September 10 and 11.

The incident took place in Hajipur sector of Pakistan-occupied Kashmir.

Initially, Pakistan soldiers attempted to recover the body while giving cover fire. However, while trying to retrieve the body, another soldier was killed. After multiple failed attempts, soldiers of the Pakistan Army on Friday raised a white flag to retrieve the bodies.

The Pakistan Army had failed to to receive the bodies of its soldiers killed on July 30-31 in the Keran sector. Pakistan had also disowned its soldiers killed in the Kargil war after which Indian Army personnel performed their last rites.
