Manchester United set to spend £250m on prime targets

Manchester United is set to spend £250million on their prime targets in the summer transfer market as they plan a major raid on Portuguese League.

The report in The Mirror says manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer wants to sign the best young talents rather than older experienced players.

He is keen on signing Benfica pair Joao Felix, 19, and Ruben Dias, 21, plus Sporting Lisbon’s 24-year-old Bruno Fernandes.

Solskjaer faces major competition from Manchester City, Juventus, Barcelona and Real Madrid for the Portuguese internationals.

The Benfica striker Felix has a £105million release clause, midfielder Fernandes’ buy-out cost is £95million while Dias has a value of £50million, the valuation of the three players is £250million and Manchester United is willing to pull the string to sign the three players next summer.
