Chelsea forced to slash Hazard asking price, Real on alert


Chelsea has slashed Eden Hazard asking price in a bid to avoid losing the Belgian star for free at the end of the coming season.

The decision has put Real Madrid on alert as the European Champion is keen to do business if the valuation is right. Hazard has just less than 18 months on his deal with Chelsea and he has refused to sign an extension with the Premier League outfit.

The report in the Independent says Chelsea is now prepared to consider a realistic price for the Belgian, Chelsea valued Hazard to be €250m, Blues management is now prepared to negotiate from a starting point of €100m.

Hazard stated: “I know what I am going to do. I have made a decision.”

Real Madrid is his next likely destination and the Spanish giants aim to rebuild their team after the exit of Cristiano Ronaldo.

Real Madrid directors might consider throwing Mateo Kovacic into the deal. the Croatian midfielder is currently on loan at Chelsea.
