FIFA Ranking: Super Eagles Drop Two Places in The World

Super Eagles have dropped two places in the latest FIFA ranking released on Thursday by the football governing body.

Gernot Rohr’s men who wrapped the out gone year as the 44th best team failed to climb further up in the first month of the new year due to lack of action at the country level but Nigeria now rank occupy the 46th position while they remain the fourth best team in Africa.

Senegal, Tunisia, Morocco, Nigeria and the Democratic Republic of Congo are the top five countries in the CAF region.

The Super Eagles next opponent 2019 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier, Seychelles are very low in the rankings at 189th while host nation for this summer tournament Egypt ranked 57th in the world.

There were no changes in the top twenty, with Belgium, France, Brazil, Croatia and England the top five teams in that order.

The next FIFA/Coca-Cola World Ranking will be published on 4 April 2019.
