Defection: 7 PDP Govs Holding Secret Meeting With APC – Okorocha

Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Governors Forum, Owelle Rochas Okorocha yesterday said about seven Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, governors are currently working and mobilising secretly for the success of the opposition party in the forthcoming elections.

The governor, who revealed this while addressing the party’s supporters at a rally held in Amuwo Odofin, Lagos State said the resolve of the governors to work with them nailed the coffin of PDP in the country.

He said: “Now let me tell you the victory of Gen. Muhammadu Buhari has been signed, sealed and delivered.

About seven governors, who are not APC are coming to hold meeting with us privately to join us.

“There is fear in the country. The fear is that they know Buhari is a good man, they know Buhari will win but there is fear.

“The fear is that once they announce Buhari on the 28th of March as president all the bad people stealing the nation’s money will take mid night flight and run away from the country.

“The fear of Buhari is the stoppage of corruption in Nigeria.” Okorocha added that, PDP died when APC was formed.

“The day Fashola, Rochas Okorocha and other governors came together, PDP died in Nigeria. On the 14th of February last month we were suppose to bury PDP but they changed the date of the burial to 28th of March.

“Now we are waiting patiently to bury PDP forever. Let me tell you, you can change the day of the burial but you can’t change the burial, it must take place. May the soul of PDP rest in peace.

“The worst thing that can happen to any nation is to have a bad government and the worst thing that can happen to any family is to have a bad father. “Today it is obvious that PDP is a bad government.

Thank God we came together for a change and the change we came together for has started.”

The governor urged the Ndigbo community in Lagos to vote for Mr. Akinwunmi Ambode, the APC governorship candidate in the state, saying he has the capacity to ensure mutual coexistence of all tribes.

Okorocha who was flanked by Governor Mr. Fashola and other APC leaders lamented the economic policies of the Federal Government. “PDP has cheated you.

If you have N100,000 before, what you now have is N60,000. The Federal Government has removed N40,000 by de-valuing the Naira,” he added.

Also speaking the national leader of APC, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu said the country was united before the present administration polarised it along religious and ethnic delineation.

He said: “The language you speak and the tribe you were born to were decided by God.

It is not your choice; it is the choice of God. When you get to the hospital do you see Christian or Muslim sections? Do you see Ibo, Yoruba or Ijaw ward? We are one people.

“Does hunger, poverty has tribal mark? Can you go to an Igbo bread seller and say I am an Igbo man, I need bread? Can you go to a Yoruba woman selling roasted plantain and tell her to give you one because you are a Yoruba person?

The road is not labeled Muslim, Christian or Obatala road. Let not these people continue to deceive us. “Those of you traveling with flights, for instance, say to Dubai.

When you want to board the plane, do you ask about the name, tribe or religion of the pilot?

All you simply do is to pray to God for a safe flight.” Tinubu said the government has not been able to provide employment and insurance cover for soldiers and police who are working in danger.

“Their insurance has not been paid but they are busy bribing people for votes,” he alleged.

Okorocha should mention the names of the PDP Governor holding secreet meeting with them and the venue of the meetings. I know a leopard can never change its skin, enough of this deceit by Okorocha. APC should tell Nigerians what their government has in stock for the electorates if voted into power not those who are seceetly holding meetings with them. Enough of campaign of caluminy that will not bring food to the electorates table.
