Chelsea’s Boss Jose Mourinho Kicks, Say Fixture Favours Arsenal

Jose Mourinho says Arsenal have been given an unfair advantage ahead of Tonight’s clash in the Capital One Cup.

Mourinho is furious that the game between the two sides has been scheduled for Tuesday instead of Wednesday, just 48 hours after Chelsea played a tough Premier League game against Manchester City.

On the other hand Arsenal played Crystal Palace in the early kick-off on Saturday and Mourinho is clearly far from impressed with the scheduling of the League Cup clash.

“We are going to give the game that the people that put the game on Tuesday want. If they want a big game, we cannot give the big game,” Mourinho said.

“If they want the players that played on Sunday (against City), we cannot give them that. If they want Arsenal to win a trophy, that’s a help.

“If they want a big game between two big teams in London, they should put the game on Wednesday and not on Tuesday, because I am not going to do that.”

There is a good chance that Arsene Wenger will make changes from the side that played on Saturday anyway, but Mourinho was still keen to point out the fact that the Gunners will have had extra time to rest up and prepare.

“We cannot put our players in two matches in the space of three days,” he added. “Arsenal played Saturday at 12:30, so two and a half days to rest and to prepare. So I hope they all enjoy.”
